Dr. Randall Krawcheck is an experienced surgeon and surgical intensivist. He has served as the lead ICU physician at Piedmont Columbus Regional since 2020. Dr. Randall Krawcheck's role includes oversight of surgical critical care cases, team coordination in high-pressure environments, and mentoring younger physicians in evidence-based ICU practices.
Prior to this, from 2006 to 2014, he was a physician at the Hunter McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Richmond. Subsequently, in 2014, Randall Krawcheck joined the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. There, he held the position of director of the SICU and practiced as a general surgeon and surgical intensivist until 2018. His leadership in these roles was marked by a commitment to surgical precision, compassionate care, and systemic improvements to critical care delivery in the VA system.
Between 2020 and 2023, Dr. Krawcheck transitioned to civilian practice at Phoebe Putney Memorial Medical Center in Albany, Georgia. As a lead nighttime ICU physician, he was responsible for managing critical care for high-risk patients across surgical and medical units. His expertise in critical care protocols and rapid-response diagnostics significantly contributed to improved patient outcomes and streamlined ICU operations during overnight hours.
